    Saturday , July 20th. from 1-4pm at the Kiwanis Pavillion in the Rochester Municipal Park for the 2nd. Anniversary picnic for Reach Out and Read and Recycled Reader, our sister KidzKare programs, hosted by Kidz1st Pediatrics. Enjoy games,snacks, and special guest readers.

    Thursday, June 20 from 10:00am – 4:00pm Raising Rochester will have a table by our beds at the Van Hoosen Farm for the annual Rochester Garden Walk.

    Wednesday, August 14th. from 5:30pm-8:30pm Raising Rochester's 1st. Annual Edible Evening Garden Party Fundraiser at Van Hoosen Farm. Enjoy some of the fresh produce from the Raising Rochester beds prepared by local chefs with live entertainement.

    Saturday, August 17th. from 10:00am-4:00pm for our sister KidzKare program the 2nd. Annual Back To School Boananza Comunity Health Fair at the RARA building at 500 E. Second St. in downtown Rochester. Last year, our inaugural Bonanza served nearly 400 children in need in the Greater Rochester area.

    Saturday, August 17 starting at 7:00pm Family Movie Night Fundraiser at Guardian Angel Cemetery. Bring your whole family and all the kids friends for snacks and games and an outdoor showing of “Madagascar 3.”

    - Rochester’s own Dillman & Upton to provide low cost and free materials to build beds.

    - SOCRRA and McKay’s Compost Farm in Holly offering free compost.

    - Raising Rochester working with the Van Hoosen Farm to revamp their Children’s Garden and Victory Garden.

    - New City of Rochester Hills Community Garden to have raised beds just like RR.

    - RR partners with Oakland County Master Gardeners to provide gardening education for volunteers.

    - RR partners with Oakland University Biology students to volunteer.

    - Accepting any and all volunteers. Simply click on the VOLUNTEER link and send us your info.

    - North Hill, Brooklands, and University Hills elemetary schools along with Reuther Middle School to partner with Raising Rochester for new beds....and more.

    - The Oakland Township Parks Commission has agreed to allow Raising Rochester to build and grow up to 100 beds on the Blue Heron Rookery property on the west side of Rochester Rd just north of Gunn Rd. They will also activate and upgrade the on-site well to have readily available water for the plants.

    -Raising Rochester to offer educational classes to the “Marketeer” children at the Rochester Farmer’s Market using the beds growing right at the market.
